Tram cabin

The application of composites in the manufacture of rail transport equipment represents a significant advance which has helped reduce the weight of this equipment, leading to lower energy consumption. It has also enabled more creative solutions regarding form and surfaces. However, engineers have not yet fully learnt how to apply their intuition to these new materials when analysing how they perform. We ran some virtual operating scenarios for the tram in order to help our client redesign its structure, and guarantee its resistance and durability.
